Hello everyone! I hope that all is well on your side. I’m deeply grateful to God to share with you a new piece of music named “David Slays Goliath”.
I don’t know what kind of giant you are facing right now in your life, or what deep struggle you’re dealing with, but know that no giant is too big if God is with you. David is one of the greatest heroes of the Bible and an amazing example of faith. No one believed in him; even his family despised him. He started life as a simple shepherd, and God—through many trials and much pain—made David king and did many other great things. Warrior, singer, composer, prophet, author of the majority of the Book of Psalms, designer of God’s Temple, and ancestor of Jesus Christ Himself.
In the midst of despising and rejection, David relied on one pivotal being: God. He walked with God very early in life while he was taking care of the sheep. I encourage you to do the same. In solitude, David developed a profound and strong relationship with God. And God was pleased with the young man.
A day arrived when an enemy of Israel, Goliath, a giant Philistine, came to provoke and ridicule the nation for 40 days straight, asking for a one-on-one fight. Everyone was scared, but not David, even though he had never fought any trained warrior before. However, in his heart, David believed in God’s greatness, came forward, and defeated the giant with one stone. This is the same for you. The giant in front of you, trying to ruin your life, must be overcome and destroyed by God’s grace.
God is calling you today to unite with Him and to change the way you see life. You should not navigate this life alone, relying on your own strength and intellect, because it will certainly drain and crush you. I encourage you to navigate life like David. From this day on, rely on God with all your heart and be patient. Become friends with God. Get to know Him. Talk to Him every day and turn away from all evil. Tell God everything. Don’t hide your sins from Him.
Be completely sincere, honest, persevering, and transparent. Ask God to show you how real He is so that your faith may increase. Ask Him to show you how much He loves you. You will see that the giant in front of you will be destroyed. And it will all be because of God, not you.It can take a couple of days, a couple of months, or even a couple of years. Stay persistent and believe in God’s greatness. Don’t see trials as punishment, but as a way to be shaped by God for your future.
King David had so many trials before becoming king. David was pressed, crushed, and broken, but he ended completely victorious. So be strong in the midst of trials. God will get you through this.
HOW TO BELIEVE IN GOD?
How can you believe God and become friends with Him? Jesus says that God is holy and just. He cannot tolerate evil and will completely punish it one day. The main issue is that you and I have already committed evil in our lives, and therefore we cannot escape God’s coming judgment.
However, Jesus says that God is love. Instead of punishing you and me for our sins, God punished Himself through the person of Jesus. When Jesus died on the Cross, He took upon Himself all of the evil that you and I had committed. When He died, our evil, our sins, died in His body as well. When He rose from the dead, He proved who He claimed to be: God.
If you truly and sincerely believe in your heart that Jesus died and was resurrected for you, so that you could be with Him forever, you will be saved. Salvation is guaranteed to you. But it does not end here. God will give you His own Spirit, who will come to live inside you, to empower you to live this new life. Your life will change. Most importantly, your heart will change. Your heart will desire the things of God and begin to have a deep hunger for Him and the Scriptures.
