IT START WITH
A quest for meaning
Around the age of 16, in the midst of school, Efisio Cross started to search for meaning. He decided to pursue music — not primarily because of his love for music, but because music appeared to offer more meaning and movement than the regular path of life he contemplated.
Efisio started as a singer and composer in a rock band for 3 years, then realized that music in itself was also meaningless. During one of the most painful crises of his life, his quest for meaning severely intensified.
After investigating multiple religions, he decided to open a Bible and pray to God. For seven months, Efisio got no answers but kept praying anyway, as the pain was severe. In the fall of 2010, he started to read the New Testament and immediately fell in love with the person of Jesus Christ.
Never in his life had Efisio encountered such a personality. Efisio kept praying to God, and one morning, the presence of Jesus Christ came into his room. One week later, the composer was completely healed from his pain.
The Path to Orchestral Music
As written, Efisio started as a singer and composer, but got his first experience with orchestral music during his teenage years after hearing the piece “One Last Wish” by composer James Horner. That piece created a lasting impression on him. Years later, he discovered John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and James Newton Howard.
In 2014, he created his orchestral music channel and started to compose. Three years later, promoters from Germany, Australia, and the United States offered to help him share his music on their channels. Between 2016 and 2025, seven albums were released: Rose of Sharon, Tears From Heaven, The Vanquisher of Death, Crown of Thorns, To The Promised Land, By His Stripes We Are Healed, and Are You Saved.
As this style of music required most of his time, he had little time to work on his pop/rock music, but Efisio Cross is trying to find more time to do so.
